Description
Figure 1, fix is a medicinal product in the form of a herbal mixture containing senna leaf for use in constipation. Product for brewing in sachets.
Composition
Active substance : senna leaf (Sennae folium ).
1 sachet (3 g) contains 0.9 g of senna leaf ( Sennae folium ), which corresponds to 16.58 mg - 22.43 mg of hydroxyanthracene glycosides in terms of sennoside B.
Excipients : hibiscus flower ( Hibisci flos ), fruit mixture composed of: elderberry fruit, apple pomace, black currant fruit, rose fruit.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
Adolescents over 12 years of age, adults and the elderly : 2 to 3 times a week is usually sufficient.
- Use once a day, in the evening.
- The maximum daily dose of hydroxyanthracene glucosides is equivalent to 1 sachet of the product.
- Pour one sachet with a glass of hot water (approx. 200 ml) and infuse covered for about 10 minutes. Drink the prepared infusion in the evening, after eating (drink once from 2/3 to the whole of the prepared infusion). The laxative effect occurs on average after 8-12 hours.
- Use for more than 1-2 weeks requires medical supervision.
Action

Indications
Figure 1, fix is intended for short-term use in occasional constipation.
Contraindications
When not to use Figure 1, fix
- in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
- obstruction, narrowing or atony of the intestine, inflammatory diseases of the colon, abdominal pain of unknown cause, appendicitis, severe dehydration with loss of electrolytes.
- in children under 12 years of age.
- in pregnant and lactating women.
Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Not known:
- itching, hives, localized or generalized rash
Senna leaves may cause pain and cramps in the abdominal cavity and watery stool, which may be the result of an overdose of the drug and then the dose should be reduced.
Warnings and precautions
- If you need to use laxatives on a daily basis, you should investigate the cause of constipation and consult your doctor.
- If stimulant laxatives are used for more than a short period of treatment, this may lead to bowel dysfunction and dependence on these drugs.
- Long-term use of laxatives should be avoided.
- Store in closed containers at a temperature not exceeding 30oC .
- Protect from light, moisture and the influence of foreign odors.
Using other medications
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken or might take any other medicines, including those obtained without a prescription.
Figure 1, fix can interact with:
- cardiac glycosides,
- antiarrhythmic drugs, diuretics,
- adrenocorticoids,
- licorice root.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Do not use in pregnant and lactating women.
Use of the drug in children and adolescents
Do not use in children under 12 years of age.
